Job summary

RSE invites a Structural Engineer to join its in-house Design team on a permanent basis, taking a leading role to ensure compliance with client specifications and current UK regulatory standards. You will produce preliminary and detailed designs, compile design specifications and reports, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and deliver all required outputs within set project timescales.

A degree in engineering and experience in structural steelwork, BS/Eurocodes, and Finite Element Analysis

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience of structural steelwork, connection design and detailing.
• Working knowledge of design codes and standards preferably relating to structural engineering such as British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Analyses of structures for stress and deflection using both hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis.
• Knowledge of piping systems would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of IT packages and systems.
• The ability to work under pressure quickly and accurately with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
