Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two ward-based therapy assistants to join the neuro rehab team, supporting stroke rehabilitation on the ward and assisting therapists in delivering high-quality care.
You will work with patients referred by therapists, helping implement rehabilitation plans, monitor progress and undertake routine administrative tasks to keep the department running smoothly.

Due to increased funding for stroke intensity rehabilitation we are looking for 2 motivated individuals who are committed to working as part of our neuro rehab team providing specialist stroke therapy to optimise quality of life. The postholder is responsible for assisting the therapists in providing a high standard of care to patients whilst being based on the ward. To treat patients referred by a therapist, according to set stroke rehabilitation treatments goals, monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment as necessary. The ward based therapy assistant is expected to undertake therapy tasks independently, following written or verbal instructions from a qualified therapist. To undertake routine administrative and departmental tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. The role will be ward based which will require the candidate to work with their allocated patient caseload to facilitate all aspects of their stroke rehabilitation. This will include following physical and cognitive rehabilitation plans that have been issued by their allocated physiotherapist or occupational therapist and some group work.
