Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Acute Inpatients (Stroke) team at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley. The post is permanent with a 12-month development opportunity supported by Annex 21 and part-time 30 hours per week.

You will deliver specialist assessment and treatment for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties, work within an MDT, and have access to supervision and training to progress to Band 6.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• RCSLT membership and attendance on relevant specialist courses.
• RCSLT CEN membership relevant to client group.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy to acute stroke inpatients.
• Manage a specialist adult caseload including dysphagia and communication disorders.
• Collaborate with the MDT and participate in supervision and training.
