Job summary

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in Bury is hiring a part-time Health Care Assistant to join the stroke rehabilitation team on ward 20 at Fairfield General Hospital. The role involves supporting patients with daily living activities, encouraging independence and providing patient-centred care in a busy ward environment.

We require good time keeping, team work and initiative. The post operates on a 24-hour rota including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• To undertake the role of assisting in the delivery of all aspects of care to ensure patient centred care is delivered safely and in a timely manner.
• To provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the unit at all times.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care and enable patients to achieve all aspect of daily living.
• It is expected that following appointment you will undertake training in line with Band 3 skills, ECG, venepuncture, cannulation, observations and bladder scanning.
