Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Team Lead Stroke Specialist Occupational Therapist to drive the community stroke service and supervise a dedicated OT team. The role focuses on advanced stroke assessment and rehabilitation within a broad MDT framework across hospital and community settings.

You will lead clinical practice, organise caseloads, and ensure timely discharges while maintaining high standards of care and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Profession-specific degree or diploma required.
• Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) essential.
• Evidence of management or leadership development/training.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to a defined caseload with highly specialised assessment and intervention.
• Lead a stroke OT team and supervise junior staff.
• Coordinate community stroke rehabilitation and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with the MDT to set goals and treatment plans.
• Attend weekend rota and work across the stroke therapy pathway.
