Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Team Lead Stroke Specialist Occupational Therapist to lead the community stroke rehabilitation OT team. The role spans the stroke pathway with a focus on community rehabilitation and close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced assessments and treatments for complex patients.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered therapist with stroke experience.
• Band 7 level leadership experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of the rota.

Responsibilities

• Lead the OT team clinically in the stroke pathway and coordinate community stroke services.
• Provide advanced stroke OT assessment and treatment for complex rehabilitation needs.
• Collaborate with the MDT to set rehabilitation goals and discharge plans.
• Supervise junior staff and support professional development within the team.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the OT service across multiple sites.
