Job summary

Qualifications

• Post graduate training in specialist clinical area.
• Have an understanding of developments within the NHS and the Trust, and their implication on Occupational Therapy.
• Evidence of post graduate training in specialist clinical area.
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist in core areas such as respiratory, neurology and orthopaedics.

Responsibilities

• Rapid response, advanced assessment & treatment of complex and/or chronic presentations.
• Provide highly specialist advice for patients in hospital and community settings and train therapy colleagues.
• Supervision and training of other therapy staff including rotational band 5 staff, therapy assistants and students.
• Coordinate delivery of the therapy service within the clinical area and support a 7-day service.
