Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to work across the Stroke Rehabilitation pathway in both acute and community settings. You will contribute to cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, movement theory and complex discharge planning, with supervision and opportunities to lead multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Stroke rehabilitation across acute and community pathway.
• Knowledge of cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, normal movement theory and discharge planning.
• Awareness of mental health issues following stroke, vocational rehabilitation and community integration.

Responsibilities

• Support stroke survivors in both acute and community settings.
• Receive direct clinical supervision and participate in in‑service training and MDT learning groups.
• Support service development and evaluation projects to enhance patient care and meet national targets (SSNAP).
• Contribute to weekend and bank holiday rosters.
• Travel independently around Rotherham; access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
