North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Physician with a specialist interest in Stroke Medicine to join the established team at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The role supports a 7-day service model with opportunities to develop high-quality stroke pathways across North Cumbria.

The post offers a permanent contract, 10 sessions per week, and a comprehensive benefits package within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

• Valid GMC registration and eligibility for Specialist Register (CCT/CESR or CESR).
• High level of clinical experience in Stroke medicine.
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Consultant team in Stroke Medicine.
• Contribute to seven-day stroke/TIA clinics and rapid intervention pathways.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate service development.
