Job summary

We are inviting applications for a Consultant in Stroke Medicine at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Lincoln County Hospital. The post is a substantive NHS Consultant role with 10 sessions per week, including 1 in 6 weekend on call.

The post offers a Recruitment and Retention premia (up to 30% of basic salary) on a fixed-term basis for two years, with opportunities for sub-specialisation and active involvement in research and teaching.

Qualifications

• MRCP or equivalent required for consultant stroke medicine post.
• CCT or equivalent in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric/Stroke medicine or nearing completion.
• Advanced Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient stroke care including thrombolysis.
• Lead and participate in teaching and training of staff and trainees.
• Contribute to clinical service development and audit.
