Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join our stroke multidisciplinary team at Kings Mill Hospital, Sutton-In-Ashfield, delivering high-quality care across hyper-acute, acute and rehabilitation pathways.

The post requires GMC specialist registration (or eligibility within six months) and Royal College of Physicians membership, with a Stroke Fellowship preferred. We offer a competitive package and dedicated support for development.

Qualifications

• Full and Specialist GMC registration or eligibility within six months of interview
• Membership of Royal College of Physicians or equivalent qualification
• Five years supervised training in an SpR equivalent training programme plus Stroke Fellowship

Responsibilities

• Participate in the acute medical on-call where applicable
• Provide high-quality stroke services across hyper-acute, acute and rehabilitation pathways
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team and deliver care in collaboration with NUH
• Contribute to service development and education within the stroke team
