Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Stroke Audit and Information Facilitator to join our Stroke team. You will assist in data collection for Stroke National Audit submissions, monitor governance and support high-quality patient care.

The role centres on inputting and auditing Stroke and Respiratory data, maintaining the Capture Stroke database and coordinating with clinicians to ensure accurate reporting.

Stroke Audit and Information Facilitator

We are looking for a flexible and conscientious administrator to join our Stroke team to assist in the collection of data for Stroke National Audit submissions, monitoring for clinical governance and to ensure standards are maintained whist delivering patient care.

This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. As a result, the vacancy may be withdrawn or there may be a delay before shortlisting can begin.

This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Main duties of the job

To provide information collection, audit and reporting services to the Stroke and Respiratory Departments.

Input and audit all Stroke and Respiratory data and maintain the Capture Stroke database to ensure the Trust can report on our Stroke performance against key metrics

This role audits data quality, completes exception reporting, inputs online manual reporting to SSNAP and holds monthly reconciliation meetings with coders to ensure accuracy in diagnoses.

Maintain good links and relationships with other RCHT departments and Primary Care Trusts

Customer base - Managers, Consultants, Clinicians, All Stroke and Eldercare staff members and other internal departments
