Job summary

HSBC in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Manager for Capital Management and Stress Testing reporting to the Head of Stress Testing. You will own end-to-end stress test submissions, deliver regulatory stress tests to the PRA, and engage stakeholders across Treasury, Risk, Finance, and the UK business to ensure timely, well evidenced outputs.

You will drive governance, ICAAP and capital planning, translate results into actionable insights, and present key messages at HSBC UK forums.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating internal and external stress test submissions within a Treasury environment.
• Strong governance, regulatory awareness and capital planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external stress test submissions, ensuring timely, comprehensive and well-evidenced outputs.
• Prepare gross and net capital plans and coordinate with RRP office to articulate actions.
• Support ICAAP production and governance of Internal Capital Planning Buffer.
• Translate outputs into clear, decision-useful insight for senior stakeholders.
• Own risk ownership of STDF actuals and PRA returns, handle queries and escalations.
• Maintain operational risk controls and contribute to the HSBC UK control framework.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across Treasury, Risk, Finance, Group and UK business.
