Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Streetworks Coordinator to manage notices, permits and traffic management applications in Nelson, Caerphilly. The role ensures timely submissions in line with NRSWA and local authority schemes and supports operational delivery with internal teams and authorities.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced utility environment. Salary £28,000–£30,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in Streetworks, permits or coordination roles.
• Working knowledge of NRSWA legislation and permit schemes.
• Experience using Confirm or similar Streetworks systems.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Submit Streetworks notices and permit applications in line with NRSWA and local authority requirements.
• Ensure notices are raised within statutory timescales to maintain compliance.
• Process permit variations, extensions and closures as required.
• Monitor outstanding notices and permits within service level agreements.
• Record start dates and liaise with field teams for updates on work progress.
• Attend planning meetings to ensure works are noticed and permitted.
• Support field operations by advising on permit conditions and compliance.
• Manage and respond to comments from Highway Authorities promptly.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Escalate compliance risks or permit issues to management when needed.
• Collaborate with planners and delivery teams to minimise breaches and charges.
• Prepare and submit TTROs within SLA timescales; monitor approval.
• Ensure activities comply with NRSWA and client requirements; maintain records.
• Support KPI achievement related to permit compliance and performance.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to operational excellence.
