Job summary

Wigan Council is seeking a Streetscene Resources Officer to support the operational delivery of the Streetscene Service, including procurement of materials, scheduling work, and rota planning. The role emphasizes strong customer service and acting as the Council’s eyes and ears in the borough.

Salary: Grade 6, £30,515 - £33,673 per annum.

Your role:

As a Streetscene Resources Officer you will play a key role in supporting the operational delivery of the Streetscene Service including procurement of materials and resources, work scheduling and in conjunction with the operations team, planning work rotas.

You will provide exceptional customer service, be equipped at dealing with a range of customers, and be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Council when working in the borough.
You will lead by example and motivate others to work to collective goals and actively seek ways to improve the service, suggesting new ways of working and embracing change.

About you:

You will have a detailed knowledge of customer contact and asset management systems and experience of developing and implementing effective processes to support with the delivery of the service and improve customer experience.

You will have knowledge and experience of procurement, budget monitoring and financial management.

You will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team in a flexible manner in order to meet deadlines and service demands. It is also important that you have effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to deal with management, workforce, members of the public and external organisations.
