Job summary

Wigan Council is seeking a Streetscene Resources Officer to support the operational delivery of the Streetscene Service, including procurement of materials, scheduling work, and rota planning. The role emphasizes strong customer service and acting as the Council’s eyes and ears in the borough.

You will develop and implement effective processes to improve service delivery, with knowledge of procurement, budget monitoring, and financial management.

Qualifications

• Detail knowledge of customer contact and asset management systems.
• Experience of developing and implementing effective processes to support service delivery and improve customer experience.
• Knowledge and experience of procurement, budget monitoring and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Support operational delivery of the Streetscene Service including procurement of materials and resources, work scheduling and planning work rotas.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as the Council's eyes and ears in the borough.
• Motivate colleagues, seek improvements, and embrace change to deliver high-quality, flexible services.
