Job summary

Streetscene is seeking a hardworking Streetscene Driver Labourer in Preston. Duties include driving and operating mechanical street sweeping vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (7.5 tonnes if licence permits) and emptying litter bins on highways, parks and open spaces.

Duties may also include difficult waste removal, building and private property clearance and handling hazardous materials. The role requires outdoor work and a good level of walking and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Dri ving and operating mechanical street sweeping vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (7.5t with licence) and emptying litter bins on highways, parks and open spaces.
• Assist with waste removal including building and private property clearance and handling hazardous materials.
• Monitor tasks for a small team and support community service personnel.
