Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is assisting our client in Oxford to recruit a Streets Van Driver for the Streets Refuse team. You will drive council vehicles, undertake sweeping and cleaning tasks, and collect waste including hazardous materials.

This role is physical, requires loading duties, and involves working a 5-in-7 rota with early starts around 05:45. A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Physical ability to load vehicles and perform cleaning tasks.
• Willingness to handle hazardous waste safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive council vehicles as required.
• Sweep, clean and maintain streets.
• Collect refuse and assist with hazardous waste disposal.
• Perform toilet cleaning and fly-post removal.
• Litter picking, bin emptying and general cleaning duties.

We're on the lookout for a Streets Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Oxford on their Streets Refuse team

About the role:

• Driving council vehicles, as necessary
• Sweeping / general cleaning
• Picking up of hazardous waste such as sharps, drug paraphernalia, animal fouling or human waste.
• Toilet Cleaning, Mechanical Sweeping, Fly-post Removal
• P&R and Pavilion Cleaning, Water Flushing, Deep Cleans
• Litter Picking, Manual Sweeping, Bin Emptying
• Fly-tip Removal, Bin Store Cleaning,
• Graffiti Removal

About You:

As the ideal Van Streets Driver you will: Hold a full UK licence, be happy to load vehicles, collect refuse and complete work of a physical nature

Working Hours:

5 in 7 working rota, working every 3rd weekend. The shift hours are between 05:45am and 17:45 pm.

Salary:

Salary £14.98 to 24.86 per hour
