Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council is recruiting streetcare operatives to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks in relation to grounds maintenance and street cleaning. Successful candidates will be based at either the central or satellite depot to work in local communities.

This role focuses on delivering a frontline maintenance service across the borough, requiring reliability, good communication, and an adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• A full clean driving licence is essential.

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council is recruiting for Streetcare operatives to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks in relation to grounds maintenance and street cleaning.

This role will focus on delivering a frontline maintenance service across the borough. Successful candidates will be based at either the central or satellite depot to work in the perspective local communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with people and providing excellent services to enhance local environments. Our aim being to make Basingstoke a better place to live and work.

We welcome applications from existing Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance Operatives as well as external candidates with previous knowledge or working in a similar field. As well as training in your relevant role, there is also opportunities to develop new skills across the service to successful applicants that demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to succeed.

Applicants must be reliable and demonstrate the core qualities required to work in a frontline service role. You'll need to be highly motivated, demonstrate a good aptitude for tasks undertaken, and pay attention to detail. It is important you are organised, have good communication skills, and able to take direction whilst having a proactive and flexible approach to work.
