Job summary

Urban Connect in London currently seeks a Street Works Coordinator to plan, coordinate and monitor street works programmes across North London. You will maintain strong client, local authority and internal stakeholder communications to keep schemes on track.

The role requires a solid background in utilities or civil infrastructure, permits and notices management, and a good grasp of Street Works legislation. You will produce accurate documentation, manage risk, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within Utilities, Civil Engineering or Infrastructure sector or equivalent.
  • Experience managing permits, notices and Street Works compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Street Works legislation and permitting processes.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Street Works notices and permits through Symology and relevant authority systems.
  • Raise, monitor, extend and close permits in line with project programmes.
  • Coordinate Section 50 applications and associated Street Works requirements.
  • Produce and maintain accurate work packs and project documentation.
  • Monitor live notices and ensure compliance with permit conditions.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors and Delivery teams to coordinate works programmes.
  • Manage defect notices and coordinate timely close-out actions.
  • Investigate Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify programme risks, delays and resource requirements, escalating where necessary.
  • Ensure all records, notices and project documentation are maintained to a high standard.
  • Provide excellent customer service and timely communication throughout project delivery.

Street Works Coordinator

Having undertaken and secured a number of high profile schemes in the London area, this Tier 1 national contractor has become the dominant contractor in the region. Undertaking schemes across infrastructure, civil engineering, water and highways they boost an extensive portfolio of projects. To ensure the moth running of several of the new projects they need to expand the street works team in North London

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating and monitoring works programmes while maintaining excellent communication with clients, local authorities and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage all Street Works notices and permits through Symology and relevant authority systems.
