Job summary

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of NRSWA, permit schemes, TTRO processes and street works legislation.
  • Experience using systems such as Street Manager, Confirm or similar industry platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and right-first-time submissions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Street Works Coordinator to join our Planning and Permitting team in Warwick, playing a key role in ensuring highway maintenance and improvement works are delivered safely, compliantly and on time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with street works permitting experience who enjoys working collaboratively with operational teams, local authorities and stakeholders to coordinate works across the highway network.

What you'll be doing

As a Street Works Coordinator, you'll manage the full lifecycle of street works permits and associated activities, helping to ensure planned works are delivered efficiently and in line with all legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Managing street works permits from application through to closure.
  • Submitting and coordinating permit applications, licences and Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs).
  • Monitoring permit status, ensuring actions are completed within required timescales.
  • Coordinating permit modifications, refusals, starts, reinstatements and closures.
  • Producing daily permit reports and communicating updates to operational teams.
  • Working closely with Agents, Supervisors and Operations Managers to ensure works are appropriately planned and permitted.
  • Liaising with local authorities, clients and external stakeholders regarding permit requirements.
  • Updating master programmes and maintaining accurate permit records.
  • Escalating risks, issues or potential programme impacts to the relevant teams.
Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisation and communication skills.

Essential
  • Experience managing street works permits through the full permit lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of NRSWA, permit schemes, TTRO processes and street works legislation.
  • Experience using systems such as Street Manager, Confirm or similar industry platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to achieving right-first-time submissions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
  • Experience working within highways maintenance or local authority contracts.
  • Knowledge of utility coordination and traffic management requirements.
  • Experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Previous experience working with supply chain partners and contractors.
