Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council in the Brierley area is recruiting a Street Scene Operative - Level 2 to join our Street Scene team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role focuses on delivering clean streets and well-kept public spaces through street cleansing and grounds maintenance. You will perform litter picking, bin emptying and weed removal, and you must be able to drive a 3.5 tonne tipper van.

Qualifications

• Experience in street cleansing or grounds maintenance is desirable.
• Good customer focus and can-do attitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Job description

This much needed position is to join our front-line services in Brierley Area carrying out primarily street cleansing operations around the Brierley Hill area undertaking litter picking, bin emptying, and undertaking weed and detritus removal operations. Your tasks will vary on a day-to-day basis covering all manner of roles that involve Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance. You will be required to be able to driver a 3.5 tonne tipper van .
