Braintree District Council is seeking a Street Scene Protection Officer to join its enforcement team in Braintree. You will be the visible face of enforcement, carrying out proactive and reactive actions to keep streets clean and green for residents and visitors.

The role requires PACE, CPIA and RIPA knowledge, a valid driving license, and the ability to present evidence in court. It is a full-time, temporary maternity-cover post with competitive pay and flexibility.

Formación

• Experience in enforcement actions and procedures with PACE, CPIA and RIPA.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Hold a current driving licence and experience giving evidence in court.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out proactive and reactive investigations into anti-social behaviour and environmental crime.
• Issue fixed penalty notices, collect evidence, take statements and write reports.
• Support victims and undertake PACE interviews as part of enforcement proceedings.
• Give evidence in court and handle matters from informal warning through to prosecution.
• Manage enforcement action including stray dog handling as required.
