Job summary

Colas Ltd invites applications for a Street Lighting Electrician Apprentice in Peacehaven, BN10 8AP, on a 24-month fixed-term contract. You’ll learn hands-on from qualified electricians, work on the Brighton & Hove Street Lighting Maintenance Contract, and gain practical skills to become a qualified electrician.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, with GCSEs in Maths/English, a desire to become an electrician, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Willing to learn and develop practical electrical skills.
• Team player with good communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified electricians with street lighting maintenance and repairs.
• Identify and resolve electrical faults under supervision.
• Install and maintain street lighting equipment safely.
• Keep records of work completed and report progress to supervisor.
