Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking Street Cleansing Operatives in Nottingham to maintain clean public spaces, including litter picking and waste removal, as part of a team. The role requires a reliable, punctual approach and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Induction is mandatory before starting, with shifts Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm at Eastcroft Depot. Prior experience is advantageous but not essential, and applicants should be prepared for outdoor work in varying weather

Job Title: Street Cleansing Operative

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm
Contract: 1 year
Induction: All candidates must attend an induction before starting work. The first induction is scheduled for 26 October 2026.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Street Cleansing Operatives to support the maintenance of clean, safe and attractive public spaces across Nottingham. The successful candidates will carry out general street cleansing duties, including litter picking, removing weeds and environmental waste, cleaning around street furniture, and emptying and maintaining street litter bins. Working as part of a team, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness across streets, pathways and public areas while following all relevant health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be physically fit, dependable and motivated, with a positive attitude towards maintaining clean public spaces. Previous experience in street cleansing, litter picking, grounds maintenance, waste collection or other outdoor manual roles would be advantageous.
