Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Cleaning Operative to deliver high-quality cleaning services across a regional area, supporting safe, clean, and welcoming accommodation for service users.

In the AASC team you will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with travel within the region and occasional UK travel.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and updating records accurately.
  • Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Willing to travel within the region and across the UK with a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Complete allocated cleaning tasks to the required standard within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure properties are safe and suitable for service users while carrying out cleaning activities.
  • Use cleaning equipment, materials and PPE correctly and safely.
  • Check relevant property information before attending sites and report health and safety concerns or defects.
  • Remove and dispose of waste responsibly, following approved processes and recycling where possible.
  • Support colleagues across different geographical areas when required and assist with inventory delivery, assembly and removal.

What you’ll do as a Cleaning Operative

  • Check relevant property information before attending sites and report any health and safety concerns or defects.

  • Support colleagues across different geographical areas when required and assist with inventory delivery, assembly and removal.
Does this sound like you?
  • Previous cleaning experience in domestic, residential or large accommodation settings would be beneficial.
  • Able to work independently and manage your time effectively while maintaining high standards.
  • Comfortable using information technology (IT) systems and updating records accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Willing and able to travel within the region and occasionally across the UK, with a valid driving licence.
