Job Title: Strats Developer

Location: London

Corporate Title: Vice President

Group Strategic Analytics is part of the Group Chief Operating Office (COO), acting as a bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver efficiency, control, and transformation goals.

You will join the Platform Strats team within GSA, analyzing, building, and delivering applications to solve quantitative and front-to-back problems. You will work in a cross-functional team developing functionality on the strategic cross-business Risk and P&L platform, and support changes on the legacy tech stack.

Your focus will be on developing in Python, particularly in areas such as Risk and P&L generation, integration with platforms via Google Cloud and other technologies, automated controls for trading and regulatory data, and operational process tools for Finance, Model Risk Management, Operations, and Strats.

Your Skills and Experience

• Degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related fields
• Strong experience in server-side Python development, including multi-threading
• Experience with front-office banking applications
• Understanding of derivatives, risk, P&L, and market data
• Knowledge of Python, GCP, SQL databases, Kafka, Redis, C++, and related tools
• Familiarity with development tools like PyCharm, Git, JIRA, Grafana, and Visual Studio
