Job summary

PwC UK is seeking a Strategy& Consultant to work with leading corporate clients and investors on strategy and transaction-related work. You will tackle growth strategy, market entry, pricing and due diligence across a fast-paced deal cycle.

You will join a market-leading team serving tech, media, telecoms and other sectors, with a balance of office, home and client-site work and a focus on delivering value across engagements.

Qualifications

• Structured problem solving with exceptional analytical skills.
• Strong client management and communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience coaching junior team members.
• Ability to multitask and balance project delivery with business development support.
• Experience running projects, structuring work streams and supervising delivery.
• Delivery experience on client projects with junior team members guiding.

Responsibilities

• Plan initial hypotheses and analyses based on experience and sector knowledge.
• Balance time between project delivery and business development support.
• Coach and mentor junior team members on engagements.
• Lead and structure work streams across diverse sub-sectors and clients.
• Contribute to deal cycle support from pre-deal to post-deal value creation.

Job description

As a Strategy& Consultant, you will work with leading corporate clients and investors, helping and supporting them tackle their toughest decisions. Your engagements will include a mix of corporate strategy (growth strategy, market entry, pricing, commercial excellence, product strategy) and transaction-related work (commercial due diligence and pre- and post-deal value creation). Your work will be varied, fast paced - no engagement is ever the same.

What Your Days Will Look Like

• In Strategy&, you’ll be joining a market-leading and fast-growing team that works with businesses, private equity and venture capital investors, supporting them across the Deal cycle, from pre-deal to post-deal value creation.
• Planning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of work
• An ability to multitask effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively
• Supporting and coaching junior team members
• Our team cover a wealth of sub-sectors including: Technology application, Infrastructure software,IT services, cybersecurity and tech-enabled businesses.
• Media - Marketing services, Mar-Tech, Online Marketplaces, Content Publishers, TV/OTT, and B2B media (info/events)
• Telecoms - fibre, towers, data centres, B2B telecoms and broader telecoms players.

This Role Is For You If

• You’ll have a very structured approach to problem solving and exceptional analytical skills
• Strong client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with clients of different backgrounds and opinions
• Proven experience of coaching junior team members
• An ability to multitask effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively
• Experienced in running projects on a day-to-day basis, structuring and managing the work streams and supervising delivery
• Planning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of work
• As a Manager you will be experienced in delivering client projects and supporting junior members of the team
