Job description

Human Resources Advisor @ Perch Group | Human Resources Development

Perch Group are searching for a Strategy Analytics Manager.

At Perch Group, our vision is clear: to lead the UK debt purchase and collection industry by harnessing cutting-edge technology to drive ethical, efficient, and data-driven debt resolution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performance analysis, commercial frameworks and testing roadmap for collections strategies across our group businesses, with an initial focus on pre-legal strategies. You will ensure that the business has control and oversight of collections strategies as well as proactively identifying opportunities and working cross-functionally to turn your insight into impact.

£50,000-70,000 + up to 20% of your annual salary, paid as a bonus.

This role is based at our Blackpool or Manchester Spinningfields office. We offer hybrid working options.

About Our Team

Perch Group houses data-driven services spanning the entire debt lifecycle, including BPO services, debt collection, debt purchase, reconnection, and litigation services.

Your closer team will include Data Analysts, with you being led by the Head of Analytics. You will most often work with the Data Analytics departments and the Operational areas of the organisation.

You'll make a major contribution by demonstrating…

  • Analysis and Insight: Lead your own and the team’s analysis into current processes and strategy with a focus on performance. Identify and effectively communicate the opportunities to improve.
  • Collections Strategy: Propose customer-centric and cost-effective strategies, with a particular focus on early life contact strategies. Work cross-functionally to refine, gain buy-in and deploy these strategies.
  • MI and Reporting: Use SQL and Power BI to build your own reports, guiding strategic decision making. Comfortable working with our MI Team to build out larger or more complex MI.
  • Coaching and Development: Help develop junior analysts, leveraging your sector experience to turn their technical skills into business impact. Line management responsibility for part of the team (precise structure to be agreed with the candidate).
  • Change Management: Support the Head of Analytics in prioritising and planning for large change work, building relationships with technical and delivery teams.
  • Governance: Play a key role in preparing and delivering monthly governance meetings around strategy and commercial performance, at Exec level.
  • Client Facing: Support the Head of Analytics in communicating our Strategy Analytics proposition to new and existing clients.

You should apply for this role if you have…

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the debt purchase, recovery, or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of debt recovery practices, UK regulatory environment, and compliance frameworks (FCA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and reporting skills (SQL + visualising tool e.g. PowerBI, Looker etc.) with the ability to drive insight from complex and disparate datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil complex concepts into clear recommendations and influence action at all levels.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in your work and helping junior colleagues do the same.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues swiftly and professionally, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including operations, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Industry Experience: Working in the debt purchase and recovery sector, specifically with building and enhancing strategy through quantitative insight.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership of an analytics team or function.
