Lancashire County Council is seeking a SAIL Brokerage Officer in the Access to Resources Team (ART) for a 12‑month maternity cover. The role sources suitable supported accommodation and independent living placements for looked-after young people across Lancashire, linking Children's Social Care and providers to secure the best outcomes.

The post requires proactive brokerage, quality assurance of requests, and effective market management to meet needs while delivering value for money.

Responsabilités

• Source SAIL placements for looked-after young people and build relationships with care teams.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the SAIL market.
• Screen and quality assure placement requests with anonymised, up-to-date info and strengths of the young person.
• Work pro-actively with providers to ensure placement offers are received.
• Circulate requests to providers and gather offers of placement.
• Attend meetings to inform effective sourcing of placements.
• Make initial assessment of offers for best match and value, and obtain social worker approval.
• Maintain accurate placement finding records to identify trends and gaps in provision.
