West Berkshire Council is seeking a motivated and child-focused Children's Brokerage Officer to join our expanding Children's Commissioning Team in the Newbury area. This fixed-term role supports securing suitable placements and services for vulnerable children, working closely with Social Workers, SEND colleagues and providers.

You will negotiate costs, build provider profiles, and contribute to reporting and sufficiency planning.

Competenze

• Experience working in children's social care, education, SEND, commissioning, or a related field.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; confident negotiating with providers.
• Ability to analyse information and present options clearly to decision-makers.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
• Enjoys collaborative working and contributing to a supportive team culture.

• Source and secure placements and specialist support services for children and young people.
