Job summary

Voodoo Park in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Warehouse Management System / Logistics Solution Architect to lead the design of a major greenfield platform for a South Africa-based client. Qualifications

• Experience architecting warehouse management systems or complex logistics platforms.
• Designing or building WMS platforms, not just configuring packaged solutions.
• Knowledge of inventory and stock movement architecture.
• Understanding warehouse location, capacity and reservation models.
• Experience with receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch processes.
• Ability to design systems with strong audit trails and data integrity.
• API-first and modular enterprise architecture.
• Ability to translate real-world processes with warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and high-level design of the logistics management system.
• Translate operational requirements into system domains, services, workflows and data models.
• Define boundaries and interactions between major functional areas.
• Design core warehouse concepts (inventory, locations, zones, capacity, reservations).
• Advise on workflows for palletised goods, cold storage, bulk cargo and containers.
• Design integrations with ERP, weighbridge, vehicle monitoring and other systems.
• Define API, event, transaction and integration patterns.
• Ensure integrity, traceability and auditability of transactions.
• Design for high availability, scalability, security and disaster recovery.
• Identify gaps and risks in functional requirements.
• Work with engineering to keep implementation aligned with architecture.
• Support testing strategy for complex workflows and inventory integrity.
• Produce architecture/design documentation.
• Mentor customer's developers and support knowledge transfer.
