Job summary

Penguin Random House in the UK is seeking an experienced Development Architect for the Warehouse and Distribution Services team. You will design, develop and support Blue Yonder WMS solutions, working closely with the WMS Technical Architect, developers and stakeholders to align with evolving operational needs.

You will lead technical design, code, and integrations, mentoring colleagues and contributing to best practices across the wider systems landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and supporting Blue Yonder WMS in large-scale environments.
• Strong MOCA and SQL development within Blue Yonder.
• Hands-on with Blue Yonder Integrator and Page Builder.
• Experience with Oracle/MS SQL Server databases.
• Experience with Linux OS and scripting.
• Knowledge of API/SFTP integrations and messaging interfaces.
• Experience with Git for source control and collaboration.
• Technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and deploy Blue Yonder WMS customisations and integrations.
• Ensure code quality, documentation and design of solutions.
• Perform upgrades and system configuration within MOCA architecture.
• Design and implement WMS reports and data extracts using SQL.
• Conduct thorough unit testing for quality and performance.
• Participate in upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Provide second/third line support for WMS incidents and changes.
• Coordinate with infrastructure for reliability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse automation.
