Job summary

Aurora Energy Research is seeking a Website Manager to own and govern the corporate website, aligning its performance with organisational goals. You will partner with Marketing, IT, Security, Legal, and Compliance to translate business needs into site enhancements and clear deliverables.

You will manage governance, oversee external development and hosting partners, ensure security and accessibility, and drive continuous improvement across usability and performance in a hybrid Oxford-based role.

Qualifications

Experience managing a corporate website or digital platform.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
Experience managing third-party suppliers and technology vendors.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
Understanding of website technologies, hosting environments, integrations, APIs, and content management systems.
Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and digital risk management.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards and privacy regulations.
Experience prioritising competing demands and managing delivery roadmaps.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Own the corporate website strategy, roadmap, and backlog.
Act as the business owner for all website-related initiatives and enhancements.
Ensure website content, functionality, and user experience align with objectives and brand standards.
Establish and maintain website governance processes, standards, and policies.
Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
Work with Marketing, Communications, IT, Digital, Legal, Compliance to deliver initiatives.
Translate business requirements into functional specs and user stories.
Manage supplier performance and coordinate development activities with external partner.
Maintain and prioritise website development backlog and releases.
Ensure changes are tested, documented, and communicated to stakeholders.
Work with IT and Security to assess and mitigate website-related risks.
Track KPIs and report on website effectiveness to senior stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvements in user experience, accessibility, and conversion.
