Solid Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Poling, West Sussex to lead a fast-paced distribution operation. You will drive operational excellence, oversee managers and teams, and safeguard customer service promises across all dispatch streams.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong ERP/WMS experience (Microsoft Business Central preferred), a focus on OTIF delivery, stock control accuracy targets, and a continuous improvement mindset to boost margin and quality while maintaining

Qualifications

• Several years of warehouse experience with progression into leadership.
• Experience in time-critical dispatch environments.
• Strong ERP/WMS experience to manage inventory flow (Microsoft BC preferred).
• Data-driven stock control and root-cause problem solving.
• LEAN principles to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and scale operations.
• Calm, decisive leadership under pressure.
• Customer-focused with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop managers to own daily outcomes and drive improvements.
• Ensure on-time dispatch across standard, urgent, and international orders.
• Plan resources by reviewing daily sales orders and adjusting staffing.
• Optimize layout, resourcing, and stock control using ERP data toward 98% accuracy.
• Embed QA inspections to prevent defects and protect brand.
• Apply LEAN to reduce waste and boost gross margin.
• Provide daily updates to Customer Care on dispatch progress.
• Enforce H&S risk assessments, COSHH, ISO 14001.
• Maintain ≥95% completion of training to stay audit-ready.
