Job summary

Airbus is recruiting a Buildings and Construction UK Buyer for the Broughton site in Wales. You will own high‑value procurement across construction services, lead sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations, and strengthen supplier relationships to support major projects, including a Belfast initiative.

You’ll work with multi‑functional teams to secure competitive commercial outcomes, ensure safe and efficient delivery, and develop strategies that align with cost, quality and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement, operations or facilities management.
• Experience developing procurement strategies.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management.
• Knowledge of building/construction procurement contracts.
• Advanced project management with cross-functional leadership.
• Strong analytical capability with business cases and KPIs.
• Professional English for negotiations.
• Collaborative, customer-focused, autonomous work style.
• Ethics, compliance and responsible procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement projects and tendering across building and construction services.
• Implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Source and manage suppliers for architecture, planning, construction and building controls.
• Negotiate and implement national and international framework agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships through tendering and contract lifecycles.
• Ensure deliverables meet cost, time and quality requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection and procurement activities.
• Monitor performance using KPIs and address issues as needed.
• Support national, international and trans-divisional procurement strategies.
• Produce cost benchmarks, make‑or‑buy analyses, and savings initiatives.
