Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Strategic Implementation, Insight & Portfolio Management to drive the organisation's major change programmes and deliver lasting improvements for patients and communities.

The role focuses on translating strategy into prioritised programmes, leading the Transformation Management Office, and shaping the Integrated Health Organisation proposition with senior leadership, clinicians and system partners.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate knowledge/experience in strategic implementation and governance.
• Significant knowledge of strategic implementation, portfolio management, governance, benefits realisation and evaluation.
• Formal programme/portfolio management qualification such as MSP, MoP, P3O or PRINCE2 or equivalent.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Federation's strategy into a coherent, prioritised, measurable programme of implementation.
• Develop the Integrated Health Organisation proposition and the strategic/operational/financial case for change.
• Lead the Transformation Management Office and portfolio management function.
• Oversee governance, gateway reviews, benefits realisation, outcome monitoring and evaluation arrangements.
• Develop long-term transformation and performance strategies aligned with NHS priorities.
• Provide leadership to the Strategic Implementation, Insight & Portfolio Management division.
