Job summary

Nottingham City Council is undergoing a major IT Transformation programme to modernise systems, strengthen governance and place technology at the heart of public services. The Strategic Technology Business Partner role collaborates with directorates to translate business needs into practical technology solutions and drive measurable improvements for residents and communities.

Qualifications

Experience in business partnering, transformation, or delivering technology change.
Strong understanding of project delivery, business analysis, or service improvement.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Commercial awareness and experience of working with suppliers.
Passion for using technology to drive better outcomes for people and communities.

Responsibilities

Partner with directorate leadership to shape and deliver technology-enabled transformation.
Lead or support complex programmes and projects from concept through to delivery.
Translate business needs into clear, deliverable technology solutions.
Drive service improvement, process redesign and adoption of new ways of working.
Use data and insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Champion digital skills and adoption across services.
Ensure alignment with cyber security, governance and best practice.
Build strong relationships across services, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
