Job summary

Primark is seeking a Category Specialist - Technology within our Procurement team to shape and execute the technology category strategy across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and services.

In this hybrid role you will partner with stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost savings, risk management, and value creation while leading negotiations and contract renewals. You will also leverage data analytics to improve procurement efficiency and ensure governance compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Procurement
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing and category management
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
• Outstanding stakeholder management in a matrixed environment
• Analytical mindset using spend, supplier and market data

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the Technology category strategy across software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, hardware and services.
• Analyse spend, supplier performance, contracts, market trends and requirements to identify opportunities for savings and value creation.
• Lead and support sourcing activities, supplier negotiations and contract renewals for technology categories.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and offshore delivery partners for procurement planning and project delivery.
• Drive governance, performance management and continuous improvement to enhance service quality and resilience.
• Leverage data and digital tools to improve procurement efficiency and ensure governance compliance.
