Job summary

Affinia is seeking a Senior Tax professional to lead the Tax Service Line, driving corporate tax compliance and strategic advisory work for a varied client portfolio. The role requires mentoring a team, building client relationships, and pursuing growth opportunities.

The position operates within a hybrid model, balancing office, client site, and remote work, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong tax technical knowledge and advisory experience.
• Ability to spot tax planning opportunities and progress these independently with clients.
• Proven track record of managing a varied tax portfolio.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead others.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to review other people’s work and mentor junior staff.
• Ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large portfolio of corporate entities and oversee the compliance cycle.
• Lead annual filing processes for compliance matters.
• Mentor junior tax staff and support internal training.
• Deliver high-quality tax reports and provide ad hoc advisory work.
• Develop new business opportunities and pitch for new clients.
• Collaborate with other service lines to offer joined-up tax solutions.
• Monitor KPI’s such as WIP, billing and debtors to maintain profitability.
