Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting a Supplier Manager to join the Renewals and Logistics team in Didcot, Oxfordshire. You will expedite supplier orders, manage availability, and drive improvements in inventory and supplier performance.

This role focuses on timely delivery, data-driven insights, and strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams. The position offers a 36-hour week (Monday to Friday) with a salary between GBP40,000 and GBP42,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Supplier or Inventory management experience.
• Data analytics to provide business insight and reporting.
• Excel and Microsoft Access skills to support data manipulation.
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
• Experience of working closely with other departments and teams, removing all silo activity.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience of an active role within projects.
• Master data management.
• Data interrogation, analysis and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Expedite supplier purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of spares.
• Ensure orders are optimised for availability and inventory minimisation.
• Analyze data to support inventory trends and drive process changes.
• Be the first point of contact for internal and external customers.
• Maintain and improve material master data for smooth supply chain operations.
• Handle daily tasks of the Supply Chain team with accountability.
