Job summary

Heroux-Devtek in Runcorn seeks a Supplier Development Manager to oversee supplier performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets align with strategic supply chain goals.

The role partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to optimize supplier readiness and support new product introductions. A strong background in APQP/PPAP and supplier audits is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, SCM, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5–7 years experience in supplier development, procurement, SCM, or manufacturing engineering.
• Certifications such as APICS, CIPS, ISO, TS, CPIM, ASQ, or QMS advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality systems, supply chain principles, and performance improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, and issue resolution activities (RCA).
• Lead Rate Readiness Reviews and collaborate with suppliers to implement APQP and PPAP submissions.
• Conduct supplier audits, assess capabilities, and implement corrective actions to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive strategic partnerships to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
