Héroux-Devtek Inc. in Runcorn is seeking a highly experienced Supplier Development Manager to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement across quality, cost and delivery.

You will support new product development and strategic supply chain goals while partnering with Engineering, Operations and QA teams. The role emphasizes supplier audits, PPAP/APQP processes, and strategic supplier partnerships to build a resilient, cost-efficient supply base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 5–7 years of experience in supplier development, procurement, SCM or manufacturing engineering.
• Certifications such as APICS, CIPS, ISO, TS, CPIM, ASQ or QMS are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality systems and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier evaluation, qualification and issue resolution activities (RCA).
• Lead Rate Readiness Reviews and APQP with PPAP submissions and supplier readiness.
• Conduct supplier audits, assess capabilities and implement corrective actions.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, QA and Supply Chain to align strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support NPI, part transfers and scalable manufacturing with compliant suppliers.
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting and capacity decisions.
