Job summary

United Infrastructure T&D Limited is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist to support our growing UK projects. You will report to the Subcontracts Lead and manage subcontract activities to meet project requirements, utilizing supplier registers and conducting performance reviews across the energy sector.

The role is based at Aberdeen or Glasgow with hybrid working and a commitment to safety, diversity, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Law or related discipline; CIPS qualification preferred.
• Experience contracting / subcontracting in power, construction, oil & gas, pharma or chemical industries.
• Able to interact and communicate effectively with contractors/subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Local knowledge of area and suppliers.
• Able to work independently.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in bid evaluations, negotiations and terms and conditions and flow-head contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Operate in accordance with Corporate and Project Specific Supply Chain Procedures.
• Ensure subcontract activities follow the project execution plan, schedule and contracting strategy within approved budgets.
• Utilise the Approved Supplier Register (ASR) and project/client supplier registers for evaluation, audit, and selection; carry out supplier performance reviews.
• Undertake subcontractor performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure all statutory and legal requirements are complied with and actions are auditable.
• Hold weekly meetings with project teams to establish subcontract requirements and maintain trackers.
• Attend project site visits and meetings as required.
• Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership.
• Complete corporate and departmental requirements as instructed.
• Be aware of commercial positions imposed by Head Contracts.
