Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Merchandise Planner based in Bracknell to create and optimise plans for supplier ordering and stock replenishment, ensuring stock is right, in the right place, at the right time. The role strengthens demand forecasts, enhancing key stock KPIs such as availability and wastage.

Qualifications

• Experience using data to drive stock and replenishment decisions.
• Collaborating on category plans to deliver strategy.
• Ability to influence supplier and customer relationships.
• Experience in trading teams to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Optimising stock availability to meet sales targets while controlling wastage and working capital.
• Collaborating with Category Proposition Group to reflect cross-business decisions in stock plans.
• Optimising system setup: lead times, delivery frequency, stock flow, safety stock, and presentation stock.
• Co-operating with Operations to align stock flow plans with capacity constraints and targets.
• Monitoring supplier performance and owning shortages, late deliveries, and stock presentation.
• Tracking KPI performance and triggering corrective actions.
• Completing daily exceptions and escalations and sharing learnings across teams.
