Job summary

Baltimore Consulting is seeking a Principal Service Lead, Provider Services for a 6 month interim contract starting October 2026. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days on site, at a daily rate of £525, Inside IR35 via umbrella.

You will lead across fostering, residential provision, placements and disability services, driving quality, performance and continuous improvement while ensuring safeguarding compliance and close collaboration with health, education and police partners.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with substantial Children's Social Care leadership experience.
• Proven track record of delivering service improvement in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of fostering, residential services, placements and disability services.
• Experience leading large-scale operational services with a focus on performance and safeguarding.
• A visible, authentic and ambitious leadership style with the ability to build high-performing partnerships and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across fostering, residential provision, placements and children with disabilities services.
• Drive quality, performance and continuous improvement across services.
• Lead on safeguarding excellence, statutory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Champion the voice of children and young people and embed excellent corporate parenting.
• Develop strong partnerships across health, education, police and wider system partners to deliver outcomes and value for money.
