Job summary

Justice Digital, Data and Science is recruiting a Lead Service Architect to provide strategic leadership for Service Architecture across Technology Services. You will shape how services are defined, designed and improved, ensuring standards and sustainable operation across a complex tech landscape.

You will lead the Technology Services service portfolio, mentor colleagues, and influence senior stakeholders to adopt end-to-end service thinking.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing, assuring and improving complex technology services within large organisations.
• Experience working with strategic suppliers and commercial partners to design, govern and improve complex technology services.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change without direct management authority.
• Experience developing, governing or improving service portfolios, service catalogues or service taxonomies.

Responsibilities

• Act as the professional lead for Service Architecture across Technology Services.
• Establish and maintain the Service Architecture community of practice.
• Define professional standards for Service Architects.
• Coach, mentor and support Service Architects across Technology Services.
• Promote the value of Service Architecture with senior leaders and delivery teams.
• Represent Technology Services in cross-government and cross-profession forums.
• Define and maintain the Service Architecture strategy and roadmap for Technology Services.
• Shape how Service Architecture supports technology strategies.
• Lead the development and governance of the Technology Services service portfolio and catalogue.
• Create, own, and maintain Service Architecture standards, templates, and guidance.
• Provide assurance and expert challenge for high-risk services.
• Build relationships across architecture, engineering, product, delivery, and operations teams.
