Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking an experienced Strategic Manager SEND Casework to lead system-wide reform and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

You will work with schools, trusts and partners to promote inclusion, oversee complex casework, and champion high standards and value-for-money in a demanding local government environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior management experience in a local authority setting to promote educational achievement.
• Experience working with schools to promote inclusion and attainment.
• Experience of managing complex change and strategic planning.
• Ability to lead and develop SEND teams and services.
