Job summary

Global Financial Services Firm is building out its security architecture function and seeks a Security Architect to join a lean, fast-moving team. You will conduct security design reviews end to end, perform threat modelling, and author security standards across projects.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on delivery with architectural credibility, speaks with engineers, and shapes solutions rather than merely reviewing them.

Qualifications

• Hands-on architecture experience in large, regulated environments.
• Strong Azure and Microsoft cloud knowledge.
• Proven threat modelling and security design review experience.
• Ability to write clear security standards and patterns.
• Comfort discussing complex security topics with engineers at an architectural level.
• Experience with Zero Trust, network segmentation, and modern security controls.
• Familiarity with SASE/SSE concepts and SABSA certification.
• Experience in FS or FS consultancy with FS clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end security design reviews and threat modelling.
• Author security standards and patterns for multiple projects.
• Provide architecture consultancy to project teams across the business.
• Develop deep knowledge of a business division while remaining part of a central team.
• Engage with engineers to shape secure solutions, not just review them.
• Stay current on AI and LLM security risks and mitigations.
