Job summary

Prospero Teaching seeks an experienced School Business Manager to lead financial, HR and operational services in a specialist school in Rochdale. You will manage budgeting, staffing, facilities management and compliance to provide a positive environment for students with SEMH needs.

You will work with the leadership team on financial forecasting, procurement and funding applications, ensuring health and safety compliance and Right to Work requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in school business management or a similar senior role.
• Level 4 SBM qualification or equivalent.
• Strong financial, HR and operational management experience.
• Knowledge of SEMH needs in specialist settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee school finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting.
• Lead HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, and staff wellbeing.
• Manage school facilities and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Provide strategic support to leadership on financial planning and resource allocation.
